The official YouTube channel of Oshi no Ko ed a Friday video featuring “Pieyon Boot Dance” performed by the professional bodybuilder Naotaka Yokokawa and Ruby Hoshino’s voice actress, Yurie Igoma. The said dance was featured in the fifth episode of the anime, which ranked first in week 6 of the Anime Corner polls. 604x5f
Oshi no Ko anime is based on a manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) with art by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish). The manga began serialization in 2020 in the Weekly Young Jump magazine. Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating with Daisuke Hiramaki’s (Selection Project) direction. Taishi Murata voices Pieyon in the series.
The rest of the cast includes Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino, Takeo Otsuka as Aqua Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, Rumi Okobu as Memcho. HiDIVE is streaming and describes the story as:
