The music video of Oshi no Ko‘s opening theme song “Idol” by YOASOBI has reached 100 million views on YouTube. It is also currently placed 5th in YouTube’s top 100 music videos worldwide and the single is #1 in Spotify Japan. Additionally, the music video of “Idol” is now the 4th most popular video of YOASOBI on their YouTube channel and it was released on April 12, shortly after the premiere of the series’ first episode. 6q3w41
Oshi no Ko anime premiered last April 12 with a 90-minute episode. Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating the series with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as the assistant director. The anime has been on top of our weekly ranking for almost every week, only ranking 2nd once since its premiere.
