RuriDragon creator Masaoki Shindo stoked hopes of a return with his optimistic response to fans after placing t 9th in this year’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the male category, stating he hoped to bring good news next year. Kono Manga ga Sugoi! is a ranking by the well-known Japanese publisher Takarajimasha, which releases their favorite manga of the year and is typically seen as a big honor. Shindo’s statement (via X) reads: “Thank you very much to everyone who voted. I’m sorry for being out of touch for a while. My health condition is good at the moment. I will do my best so that I can bring good news next year.“ 603843

RuriDragon began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in June 2022, selling 74,874 copies in its first week and debuting to rave reviews.
